whenever i preview a wav from the explorer in acid, it tries to calculate the bpm value and then it defines the sample as loop. if the sample isn't a loop this may sound very shitty in preview. can i turn this off? also i mostly use one-shot samples, but on importing in acid it defines most samples as loops... i'd like to switch that off... is that possible??? acid is the BEST music software i ever saw! pretty quick, straight and stable. im only missing one feature: u should be able to reverse a sample with right mouseclick or shortcut like the pitching feature. just if someone from SF reads that ;-) |

No on the first question. Yes on the second question. Double-click the track in question and use the track type option under the General tab. Switch to "One-Shot". HTH, Iacobus |

of course i knew that i can switch it off afterwards, but im looking for a function like "never import a sample as loop" or similar... acid even defines a sample as loop when i replace a one shot one... its annoying to set it back to one shot every time ;-( |

Try futzing with the "open files as loops if between seconds" setting on the left (under the Audio tab); anything shorter than the left value should open as a One-shot. The limit is 299.9 seconds (a tad short of 5 minutes). HTH, Iacobus |
