I bought the Acid Pro-bundle a way back wich included Vegas LE,SF XP and two plug-in packs. In Acid all plug-ins are available, but I cannot find them in SF XP. I thought they should be available under the Tools menu? Erik |

Sound Forge XP does not work with DirectX plug-ins, only the full Sound Forge will. Ted |

did you fix your problem. If you did please post your answer somewhere around. Thank you. There must be some way. Why did they disable this function at the first place? |

The XP versions (5.0XP, 4.5XP and earlier) have NEVER had DX effects support. Read the XP documentation, the specs are stated clearly in black and white. DX effects and 24/96 support are some of the main reasons most users prefer the full SF5.0 version to the lighter XP. Billy Buck |

To be blunt, they disabled them so that people would have more reasons to upgrade to the full version. |

I see, just thought it a bit strange that they sold me an Acid/Vegas/Sound Force/DX-bundle without everything working seamlessly together. Anyway, my Cool Edit 2000 works perfect with every plugin... Erik |

If you look closely at the Vegas you got with ACID, it's LE, or a limited edition. What they're doing is giving you a few extra toys to whet your appetite for the full versions. |
