does someone ran into this problem ? everytime i am saving as mp3 format and reopening the file it appears with something like 1 sec. of blank(silence ) at the begining and at the end . fucking weired , isn't ? thanks ahead karnafas |

Sound Forge leaves the 1 second silence. It's something that everyone has, it's no bug. So you are going to have to live with that. -André Barriault |

The added silence you speak of is a part of the MP3 encoding process, and in particular the Fraunhofer standard that Sound Forge uses. As odd as it may seem, it's actually a neccesary method used to fill in partially used frames in the audio. Also, some other codecs out there delete a bit of audio from the beginnings of files, and the added silence helps counterract that. Try as you might, you cannot take this silence out, and efforts to do so may truncate your files. Hope this helps, Nick LaMartina |
