I haven't used anything Apple since they discontinued their support for the Apple // line - especially the IIGS, However I finally found an audio use for the iOS ecosystem that is undeniable, and I feel an iPad purchase coming on. Having watched SF PC resources being diverted to develop the Mac version(s), I am wary of saying this but .... it would seem that there could be a market opening for a version of SF - at least at the SFAS level - to support users who are using the iPad to control audio devices, or actually record/produce audio. It would be helpful if the iOS GUI wasn't too foreign to PC people, and the newer iPads seem to have plentyy of horsepower needed for some serious processing. Anyway, somethiing in the App Store could be of interest to me - anyone else? |

If this is going to happen i'd far prefer it to be on Android. I have sitting in front of me three Android devices: one workhorse Samsung Galaxy tablet for serious business, one cheapo RCA tablet for play, and a Motorola phone. Total cost for all three was under $420. The folks in my family who have purchased iPads have spent an average of about $550 each. They're just not cost effective. Has Apple added microSD and HDMI ports to their iThings yet? Message last edited on11/27/2014 9:24:56 AM byChienworks. |
