Hi all, I'm trying to remove the usual tape hiss and whatnot from archived recordings. I want to use my Noise Reduction plug-in but I'm having trouble getting started. I can't seem to find any type of tutorial or instructions about it's basic functions. The help button shows little or nothing, and I can't find anything on the Sonic Foundry's site. Am I looking in the wrong place? Can somebody refer me to a page where all is revealed? Or perhaps one of you could provide some basic instructions? I'd be forever in your debt. Thanks, Eric |

Follow these steps to get a tutorial and description of all the functions. 1. Select: Sonic Foundry Noise Reduction 2. Press Help 3. Click On "Sonic Foundry Noise Reducton" 4. Read that info 5. Click the Forward button ">>" 6. Click on "Removing Noise from a recording 7. Click on "Sound Forge" 8. Read all that info 9. Click on "Basic Operations" 10. Click on each of those links to understand all the functions....clicking on the back button to get back to the previous screen to select the next function. 11. Go Remove any annoying noise with the best noise reduction plugin available. |

Thanks, rednroll. That works like a charm. This kinda stuff should be in a SF FAQ somewheres. Do we have one, and if not why not? |
