What happens exactly? Sound Forge is an audio editor, not a DAW. Closest thing to ACID is Vegas (which is more for video but audio can be produced in it too...though it isn't exactly musician-friendly). Message last edited on11/16/2014 1:20:43 PM byIacobus. |

Depends on what you want to do. As a recorder of primarily acoustic performers, i find Vegas to be much more "musician friendly" than ACID. I can't imagine using ACID for the recording sessions i do. It's just so much easier in Vegas. Vegas is for audio at least as much as it is for Video. It may not have the midi editing/composing and tempo/key-based looping abilities of ACID, but probably the majority of musicians have no need for these things. |

You must work with musicians who are music-theory-challenged then. :D I'm obsessed with rhythm and beat, I guess. If one likes ad libitum, knock yourself out. xD |

No, most of the musicians i work with are very knowledgeable and competent and precise. What they want from me is to create an as perfect as possible recording of their performance. So, i lay down tracks while they perform. I usually roll tape too! |

Rewire has no functionality in SoundForge, or Vegas. Rewire should work with Reason and Acid, AFAIK .... geoff |
