Don't know about SF, but you definitely can in Vegas. Simply enter Alt-6 (Edit Details) and select Markers from the Show box. It will give the time and name for each marker. Easiest way to export is to Select All (click on upper-most box), copy, and then Paste in Excel. BTW, this also works for regions.

In SoundForge (10) just rightclick the regions list gives you options to copy to the clipboard save as (playlist, textfile or Seesion 8 file). A saved playlist can be imported back into another file using Open. Hope this helps.

There are third party scripts and Vegas Extensions that can do this. Timeline Tools has this capability under the Markers, Regions & FX tab.

Select the Tab. Then (1) Chose either Markers or Regions, (2) Select the Markers / Regions that you want to export, (3) Press the Export button and give a name to the text file.
