I have a Samson Carbon 49 USB Midi Controller that I'm trying to hook up to use in ACID Studio 10. I'm new both to the program and the keyboard. Currently I only have the USB cord provided with the keyboard, and I'm not having any luck getting the program to recognize the device. Do I need to use a MIDI cord in order for the program to recognize the keyboard controller? |

Provided Windows actually sees the Carbon, it should be just a matter of going to Options > Preferences > MIDI to enable it for use in ACID. |

I've got it connected. I have the controller plugged in via USB and MIDI Out to USB, and it's being recognized by the program, but the playing capabilities are totally whacked out. Now the issue is that all my keystrokes are delayed/the dynamics are completely off. I'll play a note and try to play another in quick succession, and the second note will not make a sound. Or I'll try to play a chord and all the notes in the chord won't play. Thoughts or suggestions? |

Any other unnecessary apps other than ACID running in the background? Shut any down if so. Isolate the Carbon on its own USB port if possible to see if the issue persists. Did you try other VSTis? Some soft synths can be picky. |
