If you are trying to import a sequence of 16-bit PNG's using the import media function, Vegas 13 improperly alters the gamma of the sequence. In full-range mode, this can be corrected with a levels fx set to gamma 2.2.
In 8-bit mode, the difference isn't as severe, but still noticeable.
You can test this by rendering out a png sequence from Vegas in 32-full range mode, which will create 16-bit PNG's. Note that saving off the clipboard always yields an 8-bit PNG, for whatever reason, and those will import normally.
A (fairly useless) workaround is to drag 16-bit PNG's directly onto the timeline; Vegas doesn't alter the gamma in that case.
If anyone has a better workaround, please let me know...
