Does SF11, have the ability to any audio stream such as youtube, pandora, etc.? At some point I remember doing it with SF 8 maybe?

I think you're missing a word or two in there somewhere. Did you perhaps mean, "the ability to record any audio stream" ?

If so, this is more a function of your computer's sound card than of the software. With most consumer-grade sound cards you can set the recording input to "mixed output", "stereo out", or "what u hear". Then any audio software will record whatever you are hearing from the speakers.

Chienworks...Thank you very much for the correction, and I think you are correct. I recently discovered a software called total recorder (http://www.totalrecorder.com/) which claims the ability to capture what you hear regardless of what the hardware is capable of. I will take closer looks at what my laptop can do.

There are a few utilities available if your soundcard can't. Search this forum for details.
From an old post, which applies to Vista, but later OS versions may be similar.
- In the classic view of the control panel, open up "SOUND"
- In the sound mixer panel, click on the "Recording" Tab
- Right click anywhere in the white area of this list
- Click "Show Disabled Devices" in sub-menu should appear
- Select "What you hear" or "Stereo Mix" or similar option. Select "Enable"
If a device isn't listed yet, another sub menu option 'may' be available for "Show hidden devices".

my environment is Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, Realtek High Definition Audio on the motherboard, Sound Forge Pro 10/

I use All Sound Recorder Vista to record anything. Don't let the name fool you. It is not just for Vista. This is the link - http://www.mp3do.com/soundrecorder.html

I purchased "All Tools Sound PowerPack and received four programs although I only use the one I listed.

I have been happy with "'All Sound Recorder".

Then process the audio in SF as per usual.

The feature set looks good.
