Hello, Quick question for you. I want to add a narration voice over for our Flash driven website. I don't have a very good "Broadcast Quality" speaking voice. Is there any way I can record my voice, then have Sound Forge tweak it so it sounds like James Earl Jones (the voice of Darth Vader) or a similar type of voice which is nice and deep? I don't see any preset settings that I could apply to the .wav file - so it will probably require some custom tweaking. Also, if it's super complex, are there any plugins available to make this job easier? Where would I even start with something like this? Thanks, Mike |

My own suggestion (at least i like this), is to speak rather quickly (but still very carefully) while recording. Then in Sound Forge use pitch shift to slow the recording down a couple of semitones (do not preserve pitch or duration). You can also use EQ to increase the bass and some of the treble slightly. At just a touch of small room reverb with a moderately short delay. Play with it. |
