Does anyone know if the latest version of the Faderport works with the current driver in AP7. I am looking for a midicontroller but I don't wish to go through the mapping. I have had no success with the generic control on 'other' controllers. BTW, I am very new to this so in need of handholding! Thanks! |

I have the FaderPort and AP7. I can vouch that they work on my system. As I recall it was easy to set up. I also seem to remember that I had to reboot my PC to get it working. For the most part, the buttons are mapped intuitively, but you can change the assignments if you want. Also you can add assignments to buttons that are not being used. As for latest version, I bought and installed mine almost 2 years ago. |

Hi, that's really helpful and I appreciate your response. One last question if you can help, are there many button that are not mapped from the outset i.e. I am assuming when you say mapped intuitively, that the mapping is pre-defined in the driver for those that logically can be, but there are some buttons that don't and these are, in effect, left unused, which you can assign on an 'as required' basis? Pity that Sony don't provide a White Paper on this as they do for the Behringer.... Thanks again. |

That's exactly right! I think it was something of a last-minute addition to add support for the FaderPort, which is why it's not covered in the manual. |
