Have latest version .
all other audio software on puter works fine.
put acid into compatibility mode xp sp2
cant drop files off of desktop only thru explorer {maybe cuz im in compatibility mode ?}.
im trying to play sony files I recorded on a 32bit puter on this machine.{new one}
I get loud hissing sound that shows up on time line on Radom tracks.
Also playback i will lock and stutter..
When I drop the associated wav. files into another daw they play fine.
I have 1 tb of recordings going back 10yrs on my hd.
Tried putting wav. files recorded in another daw on acids time line and got weird behavior.
Im in a panic because I have soooo much music in acid format that is useless now.
All my mixes were done in acid.
Can anyone help me with this????

The sound it makes is more like loud static then a hisss

Sounds like a soundcard driver issue to me.

Maybe un/update/reinstall the driver. If that doesn't fix un/reinstall Acid.
