Close Media Files When not active & VP13

Does this work correctly for others using VP 13?

I seem to remember being able to task switch to Photoshop, and make edits to a Photoshop file on the Vegas timeline. Then save the edits and task switch back to Vegas and see the results. Even with the option "Close Media Files When not active" enabled, Photoshop complains the file is still open, and I have to close the Vegas timeline to save edits to the PS file.

Same thing occurs with iZotope Rx3 stand alone when I need to edit an audio clip.

What kind of media files are remaining open? IIRC there are certain file types that are not closed. This is due to programming issues like threading and complex file management/codec problems to re-activate the media files when Vegas regains focus.

I stopped being able to save changes to photoshop files in Vegas 11 I believe. I have written and confirmed the bug with Sony Vegas but they have been sitting on it for a long time as it's obviously not a priority. My workaround is to save the PSD files to PNGs. I can then keep Vegas open without having shutdown the program to save file changes.
