Subject:KitCore Multi Channel Output

Is it possible to make use of the multichannel output feature of KitCore? It doesn't mention it in the Acid section of the KitCore pdf manual, so I'm assuming it doesn't, but maybe I missed something.

After you add Kit Core, right click on the kit core bus in the mix console, and select

"Insert/Remove KitCore Outputs"

This will allow you to add the busses KitCore exposes.

Guys, MT Power Drum KIt 2 is now free, an eZdrummer like plugin! you can download it in their website, it has function for Multi-Channel output but I'm not able to do it in ACID, I was hoping somebody figure it out how to do it for this plugin.

Also, duplicating midi record & use both MT & Kitcore together in the mix gives a very good color by mixing between the two plugins.

I have a question in Kitcore, is it possible to custom build your own kits? I recently downloaded some free drum samples, I wonder if we can load them in Kitcore as a new drum-kit?

KitCore? Kind of, sort of.

You can't replace samples with your own but you can build a kit from different kits that are already installed. (Right-click the cell in question in KitCore and simply select the library. Note you can only replace elements with the same element, e.g., a kick with a kick in that particular cell.)

Thanks Peter but I do have a need for clarification. I followed your instruction which did work for displaying the multiple kitcore outputs as faders in the mixing area. However all pieces of the kit, or samples are showing up on only one fader, "KitCore" fader. All of the other KC faders show no activity. At the bottom of the faders is KC 3/4, KC 5/6 etc etc. However KC 1/2 is not shown anywhere. Not sure if that's any big deal or not. At any rate I'd love to be able to adjust the volume of individual pieces of the drums with automation ultimately.

The pieces have to be assigned after you activate the outs. Saying this from memory but on the main window of kitcore the assignment is near the bottom. Click it and you'll see the outputs to assign to.

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately I haven't been successful however in getting the individual pieces to separate and be displayed on the individual tracks. Here's what I've done...

1. Drag and drop the KC soft synth icon onto the track where my KC drum line is. (Perhaps this is in error but I do not know how to get the KC main interface to open back up for adjusting after its been closed.)

2. Click the snare drum icon then select at the bottom of the interface the output for it. In this case I've selected 3/4. Now what happens is the snare has completely dropped out of the mix and no activity is being registered on the actual fader vu meter for 3/4.

3. Reassign the snare back to the default value of main output and it comes back.

I'm guessing it's actually quite easy to assign the kit pieces to individual tracks once you do it once. Thanks community for the guidance!

OK so I've got some stuff figured out. The main issue of separating the tracks out after the initial clips are made is to reopen the KC main interface by selecting it from the Synth fader. If it's opened in any other way the output assignments will only apply to a new Synth track.

Regarding the various kit pieces vanishing from the mix after assigning them to a unique output, that is rectified by telling the main KC synth track to show the separated outputs, KC 3/4, KC 5/6 etc. Then those separated outputs become audible again.
