Yes, once installed and authorised in SF they are available in other apps that do DX plugins.

i believe the mastering plugins are VST. They are restricted to Forge 11. We have in the past allowed them to be accessed by our other apps.

I am checking on the details here.

Must be DX, cos they show in CD Architect ! (And Acid and Vegas.)

Which mastering plugins are you referring to?

Presumably he is referring to the excellent bundled Izotope Mastering EQ, Mastering Limiter, Mastering Reverb, and Multiband Compressor !

The Mastering bundle in Pro 11 are VSTs. They are not available due to licenses of the new Sound Forge Pro 11. In ACID they show up in the All\Failed folder because ACID is not recognized as a licensed host.

@Geoff: Are you sure you are seeing them in CDA? I am not. Are you using a VST to DX adaptor? Even then, I don't believe they would pass the host test we do for iZotope license requirements.

They do show and work in Vegas 13, as I believe that was included in the license agreement.

I'll bet they are not allowing them to work in acid pro 7, simply because they dont work in acid pro 7 like many other plugins, that is acid pro for you those days :) and :(

@U4Ya

It is a licensensing issue, not a compatability issue.

OK - my IzoptopeMasteringBundle is of SF9 vintage, and is DX.

So my info is out of date - please ignore ;-)

I use Acid Music Studio 9, I assume the Izotope plugins in SF Pro 11 would not show up in that either. Is it simple enough for me to move tracks from Acid MS9 to SF Pro 11, and back again? I would probably just be moving vocal tracks to use Nectar, but maybe others as well. I'd like to avoid having to resync a track if possible. Thanks.

I'm considering buying the Izotope bundle as a stand alone purchase. Would it then be available for me to use in Acid Pro 7?
