Hi there.
I'm currently working on a professional project, and am in need of a track without the vocals from the music. I have Sony Sound Forge v. 10, and it comes equipped with a vocal eraser. However, whenever I try to remove or adjust the vocals, the button is grayed out in 'tools' and cannot be clicked. Am I doing something wrong or am I missing a plugin? Thanks.

Sound Forge pro 10 does not include the vocal eraser plug-in.
OTOH, Sound Forge Audio Studio 10 does include the iZotope vocal eraser.
AFAIK, It's a separate download / installation / registration. ( if it's like the SF-Pro iZotope plugs)

Okay, so I downloaded the iZotope plugin. Where can I find the effect now? Thanks for the help.

Sorry I have never used SF AS.
(Assuming the plug-in is installed) In SF pro 10, one would select "FX Favorites> Organize" and drag the desired plug-in from the appropriate 'Plug-Ins' folder to the 'FX Favorites' folder (or a sub-folder).
Or.. it could also be available directly in the plug-in chainer.. again, I'm not familiar with AS so it could be different.

The vocal eraser itself is not that good.
It's offered free (as a separate download, I think) with certain Audio Studio editions.
