Hi, I'm looking for a batch utility to acidize a bunch of loops I have. I realize I may have to still go in and manually move some markers around on some of the loops, but a utility will get me closer. I saw something from a company called X Squared Media, but it seems they went out of business because their link doesn't work. Any suggestions? Thanks! BeachDog |

I second this, how about upgrading the Batch-program to include acidizing loops? This could be a real time-saver when you are ripping a bunch of similar waves from a CD. |

The problem with "batch ACIDizing" is that there are several factors that go into ACIDizing a sample that makes such a feature a difficult-to-implement one. One is exactly how many beats will the sample have to stretch properly in ACID (if a loop type track)? Still another is will this be a Loop, One-shot, or Beatmapped track? Root note for transposing? They can't all have the same properties all the time. Still another prospect to consider is arranging the sample so that it loops properly, trimming excess audio, etc. Iacobus |

Hi, Yes, I understand. But if I have a bunch of loops that I've already trimmed, and I want them all to be a "Loop", and all to be 4 beats, and all of them to be a certain root note, etc., then that's where a Batch program would be very useful to me. I realize I'd have to have different Batch settings depending on the group of files I'd like to ACIDize. Thanks! Beachdog |

I just downloaded the evaluation and performed a quick test. It gives you the opportunity to batch-acidize and preview (hear) a number of loops as 1) one-shots 2) loops with number of beats and optional root note for transposing 3) disk-based waves with tempo 60-240 bpm and root note. So far, so good for about USD 19,- But there appears to be some anomalies in the process. Often when you choose one-shot the file will be set as a loop, a loop setting will mark it as diskbased and diskbased will set it to one-shot. I will do some more testing when I get home, unfortunately the program can only be used trice before you have to register (or reinstall). Otherwise it's a sound idea and I wish it was incorporated on the Batch program from Sonic, maybe they could licence it. Erik |

I've already mailed the author about my preliminary findings. If this one is fixed it'll shorten the time I spend on doctoring loops and free up some quality music time instead. |
