Sorry ... was trying to post a pic that I saw on Facebook but couldn't.

There was an image of a celebrity surrounded by camera/audio people. One of the guys with a camcorder had a GoPro mounted (it looked like) on the cold/hot shoe of his camcorder (with a small video light behind/above the GoPro)

I was wondering how he was using the GoPro.

Now I know nobody here can answer about *that* particular cinematographer, but maybe others here have used a similar setup.

The only way I can think this would work is ...
(1) He is using the GoPro in video mode as a backup / different view, or
(2) He is using the GoPro in still picture mode (with automatic pic every xx sec)

It might have been for different focal lengths; GoPro for wide shot, his camcorder for closeup.
