when I play back my multi record tracks in Acid music studio 7 i get static like noise and the tracks skip.

My computer is a dell 4550 with 60 gb hard drive and 1 gb ram and it runs XP.

I just started using a vocal pulgin call necter elements by izotope. I am using it on almost every track as effects for my vocals.

When I play music only or just a few tracks by themselves the problem goes away.

When I play the whole project the skipping and such comes back.

HELP!

In order not to get that noise you need at least quad procesor(Intel i7 is the best), and at least 4gb of ram, and also get an ASIO soundcard, or you can download free ASIO4ALL driver and installit on you system asio4all.com

I am surprised you can do much at all with that computer ! Put something 'demanding' of resources on it (plugins like Nectar), and it will struggle to keep up as you describe.

Time to start saving for an upgrade I think.
