Vegas does not seem like a good tool to CC S-Log. Be sure you set colorspace to s-log in clip properties, and then use project properties->32bit full -> view transform -> ACES sRGB so you're getting a decoded look at it.

Based on my dabbling, s-log is really challenging to grade, and it really exposes VP's weaknesses as a grading application...

You could try grading the source footage with Resolve lite and exporting to dnx.
Resolve has ACES support, there are lots of tuts out there on Resolve and using it with ACES.

I might be a 'late' for this, but..., why 'ACES'? Well not really good yet on Video Color Space.

I tried it once, but the color seems tend to be a bit 'reddish'.

Agreed. I'm just disappointed that Sony Vegas as part of the Sony family is not fully integrated with Sony hardware. I love the Vegas GUI and can't stand the way Premiere works (too text based for me).

But it seems like I'm forced to move to Premiere or FCPx if I really want to grade S log stuff.
