Typically "Local disc C:\Program files'> VST" but they <.dll> extension con be put anywhere. Just set the Default and Alternate search folders which SF looks for at start up> "Options> Preferences> VST Effects" |

Thank you. I installed in the file of VST The sampler Kontakt 3 (Native Instruments). Why does not it appear in the menu FX Favorites de Sound Forge? |

Because it installed somewhere other than the standard VST folder, and you didn't add it's path to the SF VST paths as described in rraud's reply. I don't think you can actually use a VSTi in SF . geoff Message last edited on7/4/2014 6:46:59 AM byGeoff_Wood. |

Sound Forge supports VST effects, Kontakt is a soft synth - VST instrument. There are versions of some VSTi that provide an FX version, and they can be used as a VST effect. However, they require a mechanism to input MIDI to allow them to produce audio. Forge does not support MIDI input routing to a VSTi. Peter |
