I'm trying to figure out how to save out an MP3 file with Constant (as opposed to Variable) Bit Rate. When I'm doing the save, there's no option to select CBR, but there's the VBR quality slider. If I save to mono, that slider gets unchecked, and I can't select it. Does this mean if I'm saving mono, the file will be CBR? Any other way to force that CBR selection? thanks Dutch |

You should be able to save a CBR MP3 using a LAME frontend. |

I recommend 'LAME' as well. Many more encoding parameters, including batch processing. I'm partial to LAME RC3 which has script support... even more parameters available via the file(s). The preset .xml files are code but not very difficult to figure out |
