Subject:SoundForgeXP runs only in compatibility mode on WinXP

Sound forge 5 (XP)_bld248 runs on my PC only in compatibility mode (NT/2000 or ME/2000). Then starting directly (without compatibility mode)it quickly boots to desktop. Has anybody such a problem?
It works fine in compatibility mode, but why the hell I can't run it on xp?! My friend has very similiar hardware config and Sound Forge runs O.K. I have 384MB RAM, Creative SoundBlaster Live!5.1, DURON 850MHz, VIA chipset KT133 Motherboard.
Reinstaling of software didn't help.

the newest update to SoundForge 5.0f & XP studio5.0f is soppose to fix this WinXP problem, according to info at download site.

SoundForge 5.0f didn't fix it on my WinXP system.
