Using Sony Movie Studio 12 and Sound Forge Studio 10

I take a lot of video on my boat ... waterskiing etc.
This is full HD with stereo wav audio
The audio tends to suffer from a lot of wind noise .... in SF help it says to use Sony Express Audio Restoration ... and select appropriate preset, and adjust .... but details really only how to deal with vinyl recordings.
Are any presets for wind noise reduction or advice how to treat it.

Maybe even better is that I have the add-on Sony Noise Reduction 2 Plugin .... this has a lot more controls ... but again no preset for wind noise.

Anybody able to give guide how to adjust or ideally point me to a preset library.

Izotope RX can help. It's not free.

You can try using one of the EQs, (equalizer) and roll off frequencies below 120Hz.or even higher. The results will depend on how bad the audio is distorted. Don't expect magic, even with an expensive NR. plug-in.
It's best to have good wind protection (with proper mic placement) before hand. Pro sound mixers commonly spend $500+ on a Zeppelin windscreen system., which may not even be enough for a mic out in the open wind on a speeding boat. Get the best windscreen you can afford and put your mic out of direct wind flow.

Don't expect miracles, whatever the approach.
Broadband noise is harder to get rid of than a case of bedbugs.

Never had this specific problem but have you tried the Sony Noise Reduction plug in? I've had it do some pretty amazing clean up but the noises I generally work with are more contained.

What about a parabolic mic dish? I don't know anything at all about them but I've wondered in the past if you were in a situation like that if it would help keep the wind noise down...

Sorry to say, NR-2 would likely not work. OTOH, iZotope RX 3: has same additional tools worth looking into as is SCSs' SpectraLayers. Neither is free but worth trying the demo. Unfortunately as was stated, 'your likely up the creek' for the most part. (pun intended)
Parabolic mic?.. No way, unless it's on shore and in relative close proximity to the sound source.

Words of truth: "The only thing worse than a shotgun mic outdoors is a shotgun mic indoors."
;?)

No one has asked, so here goes.... What audio do you need to record from a speeding boat?

Is this the water-ski participants, perhaps?

Yes indeed! Would probably be way better to produce appropriate sounds "in the studio" afterward and dub them in rather than trying to use any audio recorded on location.
