An idea - if Acid Pro never going to be developed further, why not add the 'pro' features into Acid Music Studio ? Then we could all be happy. Surely the code-base must be at least similar .... geoff |

They are all not 64 bit! Including the Music Studio versions. This I heard from SCS at IBC, when asking about Acid Pro. So adding the 'pro' functions would make it just Acid Pro 7 as it is now. Otherwise I would have used the Music Studio versions for simple mixes. VMP Message last edited on5/10/2014 8:04:59 PM byVMP. |

Still it won't be 64 bit. That's the main issue I (and many others) have with AP7. http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/Forums/ShowMessage.asp?MessageID=890027 http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/Forums/ShowMessage.asp?MessageID=889625 So not everyone will be 'happy' with that music studio approach. Anyway I am working with Sonar X3 now and it seem to work great for me. Also the FX chain from Acid P7 can be loaded and used on the tracks, a neat feature. Loading the new Vsts on AP7 just crashes it due to it being 32 bit, so as suggested by many other members on the link above and other threads I have abandoned it. It's a pitty. Still I would buy a 64 bit AP7 successor if they released one soon. VMP Message last edited on5/11/2014 9:10:27 AM byVMP. |

So, combine the features and make it 64 bit. One product instead of two. geoff Message last edited on5/11/2014 9:38:33 PM byGeoff_Wood. |

If it raised the price i'm sure the Studio version users wouldn't be happy about the upgrade path. |

Currently, AMS seems to be a more stable product, and with the recent features they have added, it makes it worth having around. I agree that it is just a few features away from being a viable app against today's crop of DAW's. If only: 1. 64 bit. A must. 2. REX Support. 3. Easy Comping, joining, and conversion of parts/takes. (like Studio One) 4. Some MIDI enhancements. 5. Updated Interface I'd be okay with just those improvements to AP7. But AMS 10 seems very stable on my system compared to AP7 and the new features are what tempted me to spend the $29 upgrade - and I got a free loop library as well. So far, AMS 10 has not locked up or crashed once on my machine and is working as a good way for me to translate my old projects up to Studio One for finishing. |
