ASIO drivers are recommended as they have the lowest possible latency, however they are usually provided with an ASIO compatible sound card, written specifically for that sound card. Applications like SoundForge, VegasPro, Cubase, Cubendo etc then find and utilize those installed drivers. There is also an app called ASIO4ALL which is a Universal ASIO Driver which MAY work with your soundcard..... BTW SoundForge is and Audio recorder/editor, but I would never describe it as a DAW. If you could tell us what interface it is, that would be a start (and fill out your system specs) ! You get the ASIO driver for your audio interface from the interface's manufacturer (website ?). If the interface does not have an ASIO driver, then there is a 'universal' one called ASIO4ALL (google it). I am puzzled as to how you expect to record and mix multi-track audio in Sound Forge - that is not what it is for, and would be a difficvult processw to achieve. Stick with Vegas (or Acid) for that. geoff |

Click here: [link]http://lmgtfy.com/?q=io2+express+drivers Try the first link. Click on the Docs & Downloads tab . Hope that fixes your problem ;-) The purpose of ASIO drivers is to get faster and more efficient, and more configurable access to the actual audio interface. cheers geoff Message last edited on6/5/2014 3:50:48 PM byGeoff_Wood. |
