Subject:Plugin/filter problems in Acid..

Hey, I wonder if anybody can help me.
When I try to apply a plugin using Acid I get like high frequency jumping and scratching noises..
Does anybody know how to stop this?
I've got a sblive! platinum card, Windows XP, DirectX 8.0..
