Subject:When .AIFF needs to be .AIF

I've encountered two websites that reject the .aiff file extension. I have to manually rename every file to use .aif. I see no option in SF's prefs to modify this behavior and it is sorely needed. Is there any way to force SF to use one F instead of two? I'm creating the files on a Mac but rarely is the person receiving the files on a Mac. So file name extensions need to be adaptable. |

> "I've encountered two websites that reject the .aiff file extension. I have to manually rename every file to use .aif." Get the free Rename app from Pathos Software. I've tried a lot of rename applications and this one is full featured yet dead simple to use. Consider throwing them a donation if you like it but it's totally freeware. > "I'm creating the files on a Mac but rarely is the person receiving the files on a Mac. There should be no reason for web sites to limit file names and not accept .aiff, .mpeg, .jpeg etc. or for applications to have to worry about this archaic stuff. Those are perfectly valid file extensions on a Mac or a PC. Complain to the web master that their site needs updating. ;-) ~jr |
