Subject:Sound Forge 10 Crashes When Using Graphic Fade

Hello all,

I think I already know the answer to this, but...

I recently upgraded to Windows 8.1 and reinstalled Sound Forge. I'm running Windows 8.1 standard on a MacBook Air using Boot Camp. I go to use the Graphic Fade on a file, and the program crashes. The error message I receive is as follows:
"Extra Information

I've heard that Sound Forge 10 and 11 have been problematic on Windows 8.1. Is this what I'm experiencing, or is there something I can do to fix the problem?

(And before anyone asks: I'm using the graphic fade vs. the select and fade in/out because I use SF with screen reading software--I am blind--and plugging in the times for the fade in graphic fade was the way I taught myself to do it. I've tried the select and fade in, and while that works, the results sound different from what I was using for some reason. With 2000+ recordings using the -3 dB fade in, I want to try and get the same results for future recordings if at all possible.)

AMTK161,

We aren't aware of any issues with the use of Graphic Fade in either version 10 or 11 of Sound Forge in Windows 8.1, but your use of Boot Camp and a screen reader might be making things more interesting.

Could you open a ticket with our tech support department? I'd like to see if we can piece together what's causing your crash.
