Vegas Pro 13 crashes on start up

I am also having a problem with Vegas Pro 13. It crashes on start up and I never see any of the work space windows. Sent the problem report to them when that window pops up to report it. Vegas 12 still works fine but I do get a stopped working message after I close it. They provide poor support for an expensive product. Running Windows 8.1.

I must have downloaded it an hour before they posted build 310. Build 310 still crashes on start up. They still have a lot of work to do to fix this piece of garbage.

without meaning to be rude, (and i for one have had my moments with vegas to be sure),
i would be looking more seriously at your system setup and or os installation.

vegas has NEVER been garbage, uncooperative, buggy, and prone to throwing wobblies for unexplained reasons, yes (just like the competition!) - but as an nle it is excellent value for money.

Do you have JRiver Media Center installed by any chance? I uninstalled it and now V13 is finally running.

Thanks. Yes I do have J River Media Center installed and I uninstalled it and Vegas Pro 13 is now starting. Did you try reinstalling J River or contact them or Sony to find out what is going on with that conflict? I am really using J River more on a daily basis than Vegas Pro so I hope they can sort this out. I am not sure who should take the lead on solving this, J River or Sony?
