Where does SF save all settings I've made, for example my custom toolbars, colors of the display etc.?

I'd like to take a backup of them, so if I need to install Windows again - I could just copy/paste my settings file to new installation.

Historically, most of them have been saved in the Windows registry, which is a most unfortunate choice. Sony has a Preset Manager program, which allows you to back up and transport all your plugin settings and such things. I have no idea if it can also preserve UI customizations.

Frankly, as a programmer, i'd get fired from the companies i've worked for if i used the registry for these things.

"I'm not a programmer, but logical decisions do not seem to apply at SCS. SF11 Plug-in and record mode changes being just one example.

Some display parameters can be saved though in SF10-11. don't know about SF 9.

That's weirdest thing I've ever heard, save in registry? Yeah I'd fire you if you did that ;)
Oh my, I tried to save some settings in SF, then lookup last modified files right after that in Windows, but didn't find any file where it could have saved the settings.

Next time I install Windows and SF, I put SF settings - then make image from drive, at least then I have saved settings...until I replace some hardware in computer...sigh
