Acid 3.
Pentium 4 1.3GB
98SE 256 Ram
CD Hitachi DVD Drive
HP CD Writer+ 8210i

I have Acid 3 and tried to Extract Audio from a CD but in the CD Drive Drop down list 'No Devices' is shown. This is also shown in the Preferances. How can I tell ACID to use my CD Rom Drive to extract audio?
Also where can I find the Advance Audio Preferances tab, information on which appears in the index, but I cannot locate it in Acid itself.
Can anyone help?

Hello,

The advanced audio options are in "Options Menu>Preferences>Audio Tab>Then Advanced Button at bottom of dialog box" But those settings are just for Latency settings, The CD drive should show up by itself, Mine lists all three of my drives, Make sure your drive is configured properly, You might want to try identifying the drive in BIOS setup instead of auto detect, that might help. You can also E-Mail SF and see if your drive is compatible. There is also some options for Audio settings in the "Audio Properties" button in the Mixer window down in the "Window Docking Area".

See ya, Rockit

Are you in Win2k or XP? If yes, try checking either of the two boxes for ASPI on the CD page in prefs(You may need to get the latest update from the web--I think this was introduced either for 3.0c or 3.0e). Also, does Windows properly recognize your CD drive? If so, can you see your drive (and the .cda files) in ACID's explorer?

Best of luck,
Joel
