I'm currently using Acid Music 3.0.I can take an audio drum loop(from a cd) and record it into acid and use Beat mapper to get the correct beat pattern. However, when I try to load a bass guitar or any other instrument(also from audio cd), I can't get them to keep the same tempo as the drums.Does anyone have any clues.I've worked with beatmapper for about three hours now and I'm having no luck at all....
thanks in advance

See the thread on sysnchronizing 2 long tracks from last week. The answer's I received, especially those from Joel @ SF _really_ helped us get good results, and my associate only has a Celeron 400 w/128mb.

If all you're looking for is to get the same tempo, do this(avoids the beatmapper entirely):
1. note what tempo the beatmapped drum file is at by doubleclicking the "45-spindle adapter" icon in the track list and reading the tempo information on the track props page.
2. double-click on the same icon on the bass page. Make sure that the track type is Beatmapped, and note that the tempo is probably not the same.
3. Switch to the Stretch page of track properties, and manually type in exactly the same tempo. You'll still need to adjust the offset a bit, most likely, but that should make things match up.

If that doesn't help, check out the response that SDM was referring to, about changing one of the files to a one shot, and dropping a Time marker, and using "Adjust tempo to match marker to cursor" from the time marker's context menu.

Best,
Joel
