Is there a way to reorder/renumber regions? I'd like them to appear chronologically matching the timeline but of course they are numbered in the order they were added. Anyway to change the numbering later?

Try this. Save your project, exit, and then reopen. It's worked for me with regions.

Works with markers as well.
