My experience is that the extraction process is painfully slow to the point of downloading shareware to handle the extraction. Are you sure it isn't working or is it taking so long that it appears not to be working?

In the demo version it would show me the tracks on the CD within a few seconds. I've left the screen up and walked away and still nothing appears in box. I can view the tracks using the explorer tab in VV but there is no way to import them from there.

I am using a Samsung CDRW/DVD player. Does this cause a problem?

checkyour ASPI layer using Aspichk.exe from Adaptec. Update using Aspi32.exe from adaptec. I know adaptec does not recommend it in WinME, W2K, XP but I have used it in w2k and ME without problem. If you dont have adaptec controller, search for ForceAspi from www.elby.de or use NTASPI from www.lsilogic.com if you use w2k or NT.

Hello,

On your explorer window in Vegas click on display and select all types and see if the files show up in Vegas Explorer.

See ya, Rockit

I finally got it to work! My OS was Windows 2000. I swapped the CD drive from a computer it would work on and it still wouldn't display the audio tracks. In desperation I upgraded to XP. Life is good again ;-)
