VV3 Crashing Issue

Hi,

I am having a problem with VV3 crashing. I am working on a feature-length (89 minutes) indie film. I have one track of video (with no filters or plugins) and 5 tracks of audio (so far.)

What happens is this: (and so far I can reproduce it at will, it just happens)
During the course of audio editing I move an audio clip forward or backward on the timeline and the program siezes up. The only way to exit out of it is to hit CTRL + ALT + DEL and close Vegas. (Which says it's "not responding"). But then the rest of the computer is also siezed up so I need to reboot the whole system.

I don't recall having this problem with VV2.

I'm running PIII, 800mHz, 512MB RAM, Windows 98 SE. Any ideas or input at all would be appreciated.

Thanks!!!
Rob

does it just happen when you drag and drop, or is it during playback? I've found Vegas 3 to be VERY stable and I used it on a 2 hr. feature with 30+ tracks and 5 video tracks. I have had it seize up temporarily on playback, but it usually returns with an Unable to Mix Audio message. Any other symptoms?

Have you updated to DX8.1?
