Subject:Sound forge with a sequencer

Hi Guys,
I use SF4.5 with a maxistudio isis card in my studio.
I want my sequencer, drum machine or keyboard to start playing when
I hit the record button in SF. I have connected the midi out of the sound card
to the midi in of the sequencer and set the midi clock of the sequencer to
external . What else do I need to do ?
