Subject:Audio Studio 8.0 not extracting CDs on Windows 8.1

Hi guys

I recently upgraded my computer and it is running Windows 8.1. I have reinstalled Sound Forge 8.0 on my computer. I can use all features except for the "Extract Audio From CD". It is not reading the disc and whenever I click on the feature, this message pops up;

"You are currently logged on to this computer without system administrator privileges. Some features of this program may not be available to you."

I have gone through the settings on my computer and my account is the administrator.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to solve this problem?

Have you tried creating a new administrator account and doing said task in new account?

Right-click the icon and choose "Run as administrator". That should give you all options. You can also right-click the icon and choose Properties and check the box to always run as Administrator. Keep in mind that SFAS 8.0 was not certified for Windows 7 let alone 8.x.
