I believe I have discovered a bug. I have had this problem occur in both Windows 98/ME and now in Windows 2000. If there are more than one bus effect track (i.e. waves trueverb, waves mondomod) and you try to render each track to a seperate file. You get the progress dialog box but rendering occurs. When you try to cancel it just hangs. Is this a known issue and if so when will it be fixed. |

So are these WavesGold DirectX plugins you're trying to use? Are you using them in Acid or Soundforge? I have the same problems sometimes because certain Waves effects are such processor hogs. Have you tried adding the effect in SF then saving it, then painting it into Acid? Depending upon your computer, trying to use them realtime in Acid will bog down your system and even lock it up.
