hi. im a long time user of acid pro 3, and not a while ago i ran into a problem. when i click the red button to record, it shows me the two green bars of the channels (left and right), the right one is half way lower then the left, therefore when i record, the final output comes out only from the left speaker... please help me... |

The first thing that comes to mind is that you have an inbalance with your soundcard, because the program is only reflecting the signal coming thru your system. You may just want to try and using your sound recording in your computer to test this theory. But I would check your soundcard mixer to see if the levels are accurate and to see if maybe you have a bad connection somewhere along the way. If this doesn't work, please come back and we'll see what else we can think of, and hopefully one of the techs from Sonic can lend some assistance. If you do repost please tell us what type of setup you have, especially the soundcard and what you're trying to record. Thanks, and good luck, Maninblac4 |

Another quick thing to check while you have your recording mixer open is the balance setting on the input. In most mixers a very tiny horizontal slider just above the vertical volume slider. I've found it rather easy to accidentally nudge them with my mouse, and since they're so tiny it's not easy to notice if it's off center. I really wish those things had a center detent so it was easier to re-center them. |

Hello, What kind of Mic are using?, because most Mic's are Mono, Does your amp have a headphone output jack on it?, and if so, you can go straight from the headphone out to the line in on the sound card. If your going to mic your amp stereo, you need to either have a stereo mic or, mic with two mics on each channel, with one panned hard left and the other panned hard right, or you may not get even input to the sound card. If your using a PC mic you won't get good enough quality from your amp. I would try the headphone method, I have a crate amp that I use like that, and it works pretty good like that. See ya, Rockit |

OK I get it, So did you try all the sound card settings in the drop down at the bottom of the recording dialog box, And did you try reinstalling Acid, but don't uninstall first, just install right over the top of the other one, It should give you an option to repair the existing install. Anybody else got any ideas here??? See ya, Rockit |

Could the mic itself be whacked? Have you tried another mic? Iacobus |

hello there..guess im a little late...are you using busses when you record? if you are you must be using a card that multitracks....so....befor you add busses..make sure you set the playback in windows to something else besides you multitrack...i found this out when i went to master a song with buses....i clicked play and it was like it froze with a steady meter reading about half..but no sound..FROZEN...so i changed my sound playback and record in windows to my sblive...whala.......if you dont use busses...dont bother reading this...hehe..fry |
