I can't find fader controls like in Vegas 12.

What do you mean by Faders?

Are you trying to fade in and fade out of your audio?

Or are you trying to raise and lower the levels of your audio?

Or are you trying to mix several audio tracks?

There are no faders, at least not in the 'track' view. Because SF is not a DAW and the fader paradigm does not really apply.

Envelopes are probably the nearest thing in function to a fader

I'm trying to do a simple fade in at the start and fade out at the end. Is this what ducking is for?

It was something I missed. It's under Process-Fade. Thanks everyone for your time.

Was about to suggest that - couldn't be easier eh ? ;-)

What you may find useful (especially if you have a larger size monitor) is configure View with the toolbars Tools and Process.

IN addition the same thing can be done with a Volume envelope or Graphic fade plug-in.
FWIW, I keep the Fade-in / Fade out and Graphic fade icons on the toolbar for quick access.
Customize toolbar: "View> Toolbars> Customize
