Every time I attempt to take CD audio (CDA file) off a CD that my church makes for me, I get this error:

Anyone know what's causing this?

Are you using "File> Extract Audio from CD"
What application was used to burn it and what format? (TAO, DAO)
Have you tried another drive?

Yes, I was using File---extract audio from CD when I got the error. I also tried to use my Samsung external BluRay reader/writer and got this message:

So, similar. Tried both Open---browsed to file on the disc and File--extract audio from CD with the same results. Don't know which machine or codecs were used by my church to burn the disc. I might have to use Windows Media Center to rip the audio from the disc first, then import into Soundforge, which will suck, as I want Soundforge to be my default audio recorder/editer.

Okay, I downloaded Soundforge onto my Windows 7 laptop (Acer Aspire quad core, with 6Gb RAM). I then tried the File---extract audio from CD. Could not read the CDA file off the disc. Copied and pasted the file from the disc to both my desktop and laptop and then tried to open the file with same results. I have periodically gotten a message on my desktop when starting Soundforge and now on the laptop when I started the program for the first time. Something like "Cannot open program due to file WMVcore2.dll missing. Re-install the software to stop this problem." Couild that missing file be the problem?
