After some - looking back at the issue - minor trouble, I have to admit that ACID music studio is really one of the best DAW I ever bought! My experiences so far are really satisfying. I can testity that I tried and tested almost all available DAW on the market (exept Logic). Still love Cubase -even above Protools - but ACID has more possibilities if you doing video scores for an affortable price. I only tested it for a few days but I caught myself with a few "Waauw" 's on things that more expensive DAW's did not feature. |

Hi there Does 10 allow you to use usb audio mixers for recording vocals? AS i really need to do this quickly and studio 8 does not seem to allow me to do this. I greatly appreciate your feedback im stuck and running out of time. |

I'm about to pick up music studio 10. It's updated and on par with acid 7 now. Any downsides that I should know about before I take the dive? |

I wouldn't say "on par" with Pro just yet. (There isn't bus-to-bus routing or ReWire support, for example.) |

I hate to admit to liking Acid 10, and I've pretty much stopped using Pro at this point. I have some plugins that work fine in Acid 10 that die horrible deaths in Acid Pro, and since one of them is Synthmaster (my 3rd fave synth) that's kind of a deal breaker. So far I haven't run into anything in Acid 10 that makes me want to run away. There are things I wish it could do, but for the real complex stuff that isn't just hideous loopmangling I have Sonar X3. Acid 10 is my current go-to DAW for violating loops.. Sonar just doesn't have the same flow for me when trashing a loop or 20. |

Just an addendum: the ONE thing lacking in Acid 10 is the ability to record multiple MIDI sources at the same time! This has driven me to SONAR X3 for my MIDI work, sigh. I need to be able to record my QuNeo and QuNexus at the same time as I tend to play 2 soft-synths at once to get the kind of ambient sounds I need. Oh well... Maybe Acid Music Studio 11.. |
