I'm on a new XP machine. When I installed it told me about that Microsoft page, but that MS page said that the DirectX 8.1 wasn't nec. in XP as it was already included. I'm fully registered; not the demo version.

Was that wrong? Can anyone tell me how to get VV to accept video files?

BTW, capture is working fine on the pc. This is a file compatibility issue.
