Hi, If any of you are using Acid 3.0 and/or Vegas 3 LE. How can I get these programs to start recording audio when I start a song playing from my K2500. I don't have a breakout box to record all the track at once, so I have to get them recorded one at a time. I'm trying to keep the audio tracks in sych. I hope this makes sense. Regards, Kai |

I always record my material in Sound Forge as snippets and assemble them in ACID Pro 3. That way, I don't have to worry about whether a certain part of the project is on cue. It's also the most flexible way that I know of, since you can arrange the project as you see fit. Iacobus |

I assume your question is.... when I start the K2500 sequence running, I want Vegas to start recording. If that is the question you: 1) Set vegas to chase to midi time code 2) make sure both machines are to the same time code... usually people use 30 frame non-drop 3) Arm the vegas tracks you want to record (if you've done everything right so far, vegas will just sit there and not do anything) 4) make sure the the k2500 is transmitting Midi time code (MTC) and then start the sequence.... about 2 beats into the song, vegas will start recording (so you will need a "dummy" measure on the front end. Don't worry, you can record 2 tracks at a time and with MTC, they will all sync in Vegas when you are done. Apologies if I have misunderstood the question. Take Care |
