Subject:VST issue on Acid Pro 6 now that I have Windows 7

I have a new computer with Windows 7, and I installed my Acid Pro 6.0 on it. Everything works fine except it doesn't read my VST files. I added the dlls to the VSTplugin folder just as I did before, but none of my VST's are appearing. I made sure Acid was searching the appropriate folders too. Is there a fix for this? Thank you. |

If your new computer and Windows 7 are the 64-version, I'm not sure you'll see the VSTs. I had version Acid MS 6 and that's what I experienced. However, I also have versions 8 and 9 of Acid MS, both of which work fine with 32-bit VSTs in a 64-bit environment. Message last edited on1/20/2014 4:17:50 PM bymike_in_ky. |

I did not see the VSTs when I first installed version 6 on my Windows7 (64-bit) machine. So, you are seeing the same symptom. It ran fine on my old Windows XP machine. I suggest you upgrade because everything that I read and I tried to get the VSTs working with Windows7 did not succeed. As soon as I upgraded to version 8, it all worked, but with a few hiccups. Version 9 works very well with no noticeable hiccups yet. Good luck! Message last edited on1/21/2014 2:45:24 PM bymike_in_ky. |
