Does anyone have a recommendation for a good quality sound card for under $250. I bought one for $60 that only provides playback that is marginal in quality. |

www.midiman.com M-Audio makes two great cards I have both of them installed on my machine, The Audiophile and the Delta DIO 2496, Both are under $200.00 You can get them at Marsmusic.com look in Pro Audio section then computer hardware. See ya, Rockit |

If you are really serious about recording--or even halfway serious--delay your gratification and spend a little more on a soundcard. I have the Delta66/Omni IO setup which is great. Go to www.midiman.com and go to 'Products' then 'M-Audio' then 'Delta series' and just check it out. Don't know what kind of outboard gear you are using, if any, but it has worked really well with our setup (mackie 406m and alesis effects units) for analog recording. The soundcard itself has an SPDI/F plug for midi recording--if you havent already gotten a card, check it out. Cheers. |
