How can I disable the creation of the sfk file? I've checked all over the preferences and options dialogs with no luck. Is it in the registry or something? These files make my directories messy, and I'd just like to be done with them already. Thanks in advance! Peace, Rich www.InsomniacRecords.com |

You are apparently not running any of the latest updates. This was fixed 3 of 4 versions back. Update to the latest and that will delete the .sfk files when you close the file. SF has always used these files, but the latest updates will delete them when you close the file. |

If you open files in the "Direct mode" this saves the SFK files usually in the same folder as your audio files. So open files in the non-direct mode... In your - Open - file - window, with an audio file high-lighted, un-check the -Operate directly on the sound file box.- And yes by all means update to latest version of S. forge, especially if your running 5.0 |
