Why not combine Acid and Vegas? I understand what they both do, but Acid 3.0 is pretty much like Vegas to me. Although Acid is not a multitrack program, you can use it like one. I have Vegas LE and Acid 3.0. I've only used Vegas once and Acid is the one I use like a multitracker. I say retire one of the programs and create something to compete with Pro Tools. I agree totally with you. I've made this suggestion a number of times and I hope that in the next upgrade of Vegas Audio 3 that they fully implement it. It IMHO would be the easiest upgrade to accomplish and would boost sales of its flagship product. Of course a upgrade path from acid to Vegas Audio 3 would be needed. Now if we can all drill into sofo heads that DX automation,dx's,and midi is worth the development time instead of just video we would be set! Later. |

Right on, guys! I'm definitely looking for this in 4.0. Or at the least, their own version of ReWire that will allow easy, plug n' play interplay between apps with conjoined mixing with one-stop rendering. Steinberg teacheth, SF shall learn. |

So there is going to be a 4.0 version of Acid or is it Vegas? |

Only Sonic Foundry can answer that one. They've just recently introduced Vegas 3, and Acid 3 wasn't that long ago either. So i'd say that version 4 of either is probably a quite a way off. |
